Northbay House is the former Northbay School and Schoolhouse, built in 1882 in a quiet sheltered hollow at the head of beautiful Loch na Obe. The house is on the island bus route, and is 15 minutes by car from the ferry terminals and from the airport. The Self-Catering and Bed & Breakfast accommodation is 4 Star standard and was newly developed in 1999 in a sympathetic and imaginative renovation of the old school. It offers comfortable well-appointed en-suite facilities for all visitors including wheelchair users.
